Sheldon B. Josephs, FACHE, Executive Director
Sheldon comes to RSC with over 25 years healthcare administrative experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. After completing his master's degree from Arizona State University in Hospital Administration he worked in several large tertiary care medical centers in New York, Ohio and California in middle and senior management operations positions. For the past 15 years he has concentrated on managing and leading physician owned organizations. He has led practices in many specialties including all primary care and medicine specialties.
Sheldon brings with him a strong background in operations, finance and practice development. Most recently he served as executive director for an oncology practice in northern California affiliated with USOncology, the nation’s largest oncology practice management company. He has earned the distinction of Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a long-time member in the Medical Group Management Association.
Kristen Ivani, Ph.D., HCLD - Laboratory Director
Dr. Ivani has served as the laboratory director at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989. She is a board-certified high-complexity clinical laboratory director in the disciplines of embryology and andrology and an inspector for the College of American Pathologists Reproductive Laboratory Accreditation Program. Dr. Ivani is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the International Embryo Transfer Society, the American Association of Bioanalysts and several scientific honor societies. Her areas of interest include embryo cryopreservation, in vitro fertilization, gamete micromanipulation, patient education, and pre- implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
JoAnne Brian, Director of Practice Development
A 20-year veteran of the healthcare field, Ms. Brian graduated from DeAnza College in 1983 with AS degree in Physical Therapy, later becoming a licensed physical therapist assistant. In 1997 she decided to pursue a career in healthcare sales and marketing, going on to become regional sales director for a national occupational healthcare provider. Her responsibilities at RSC include helping to improve patient satisfaction and public and professional relations in the Bay area.
Mahshid Albrecht, MBA, Human Resource & Donor Program Manager
Mahshid Albrecht has been part of the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 7 years, currently serving as HR and Donor Program Manager. Mahshid joins RSC with more than ten years administrative management experience. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and an MBA. Mahshid is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Lisa Burke – Patient Administrative Services Manager
Lisa joins RSC with over ten year’s health care experience. As a certified phlebotomist, she has knowledge and experience in both clinical and administrative fields. Over the last several years, her main focus has been revenue cycle management. She has lead several successful administrative teams achieve quality patient care and customer satisfaction. Lisa graduated with honors from Wilmington University, earning a BS in health administration. She is actively completing her MBA.
