Insurance Counseling: Predetermination of Infertility Benefits

We recognize that financial considerations are very important to our patients. In an effort to provide the highest level of comprehensive care and service to our patients, our financial team is available to explain the costs of treatment and the extent of your insurance coverage prior to a treatment cycle. They are experts in both healthcare and insurance issues, especially those related to infertility. This expertise allows them to serve as advocates for our patients; knowing who to contact and what questions to ask to uncover infertility benefits. As a service to our patients, we offer a predetermination of benefits program which identifies the patient’s insurance coverage for infertility treatment as well as pharmaceutical benefits. We will also file claims with your insurer (HMO only) as well as accept assignment of benefit payments, thereby reducing your out-of-pocket costs. It is important to know that although many plans offer some benefits for insemination services (IUI), very few California insurance plans provide coverage for In Vitro Fertilization.

Pharmaceutical Program

Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area, in partnership with IntegraMed America, Inc., is pleased to offer patients the pharmaceutical services provided by ivpcare. In addition to being competitively priced, ivpcare’s program – in our experience – saves the patient out-of-pocket costs through comprehensive verification and maximization of individual insurance benefits.

Financing Program for Infertility Patients

Our goal is to provide our patients with multiple financing options to make it possible for you to have the family of your dreams. RSC offers two options for self-pay financing, in addition to The IntegraMed® Attain IVF Program.

1. Combined Acceptance Corporation/Medical Financing

 As of July 1, RSC and IntegraMed, the national fertility network of which RSC is a member, are offering its patients Combined Acceptance Corporation.
Below are some key highlights of this program:
 
•    Interest rates starting as low as 5.9%
•    Flexibility to send payment to both IntegraMed and RSC
•    Loans provided by two different banks – US Bank and WFNNB
•    US Bank offers loans up to $20,000 on a VISA platform
•    WFNNB offers loans up to $15,000 and makes payments via check or wire transfer
•    Couples can apply for loans separately, with up to $35,000 offered to each
•    Flexible payments as low as 1% on VISA transactions and 3% on Check/Wire Transfer Transactions
•    1% Cash Reward Program for patients
